Organized plays jam-based instrumental music rooted in 1960s and 1970s soul-jazz, funk and blues styles. The ingredients of this cocktail include a helping of the jazz organ stylings of Jimmy Smith; a pinch of Booker T. & The M.G.’s and The Meters; and sprinkles of Motown Records (Detroit), Stax Records (Memphis), the blues, and some cosmic guitar. It’s music that goes straight to your soul.
Made up of veterans of the local music scene and military bands, Organized sets a beat like nothing else around. Virtuoso guitar compliments crunchy Hammond™ organ and bluesy harmonica. Underneath, clockwork drums, congas, and jazzy bass create a beat that gets you out of your seat.
